Un pato incapaz de volar o con vuelo limitado, se extinguió a principios del siglo XIX tras la llegada de foceros y balleneros europeos que introdujeron gatos y ratas. Conocido tanto por testimonios escritos como por material subfósil, es uno de varios pájaros de islas remotas perdidos a causa de depredadores introducidos.
Diet & Feeding
Anas marecula was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
