† Elorius paludicola — an extinct avian taxon known from Eocene deposits in France. Small wading bird with marsh-adapted limbs. Classification uncertain; possibly related to rails or shorebirds. Known from fragmentary postcranial material recovered from palustrine sediments.
Diet & Feeding
Elorius paludicola was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
