Thambetochen is an extinct moa-nalo, a giant flightless duck from Hawaii, USA. These large herbivorous waterfowl evolved from flying ducks and became the dominant large herbivores of the Hawaiian islands before being driven extinct by Polynesian settlers.
Diet & Feeding
Thambetochen was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
