† Fulmarus miocaenus — an extinct Miocene fulmar from North America. Piscivorous pelagic seabird; tube-nosed (Procellariidae). Documents the Miocene radiation of fulmars in the North Pacific. Morphologically similar to extant F. glacialis but represents an older lineage before modern fulmars diver.
Diet & Feeding
Fulmarus miocaenus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
