<dinofyi-dinosaur slug="dromornithidae"></dinofyi-dinosaur>†Dromornithidae, o aves del trueno, es una familia extinta de aves gigantes no voladoras de Australia. Estaban estrechamente relacionadas con los gansos y patos (Anseriformes) a pesar de su aspecto masivo. Incluía algunas de las aves más pesadas que han existido. Todas se extinguieron, posiblemente por la combinación de cacería humana y cambio climático.
Dieta y alimentación
Dromornithidae era un dinosaurio herbívoro. Los herbívoros se alimentaban típicamente de helechos, cícadas, coníferas y otra vegetación disponible en su época. Muchos dinosaurios herbívoros desarrollaron dientes y sistemas digestivos especializados para procesar material vegetal duro.
