Cettia

Cettia

Cettia is a genus of small Old World warblers (Cettiidae), including both extant and extinct island species. Members are insectivorous, gleaning arthropods from dense vegetation. An extinct species is known from Quaternary deposits of Tonga, where it likely disappeared following Polynesian colonisation and associated habitat loss. Cettia warblers are characterised by their explosive, ventriloquial songs and rounded wings.
