Beautifully preserved; small insectivorous to carnivorous bird with short wings. Among the earliest crown-group rollers. Messel fossils reveal soft tissues including gut contents, providing detailed paleoe.
Diet & Feeding
Eocoracias brachyptera was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
