† Eocypselidae — an extinct family of Eocene swift relatives from North America. Small insectivorous aerial birds with long, narrow wings adapted for high-speed flight. Represents early swift evolution in North America. The family likely went extinct during Oligocene climate changes.
Diet & Feeding
Eocypselidae was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
