† Eogrus — an extinct Eocene crane relative from Mongolia. Medium-sized wading bird with elongated legs. Represents early Asian gruiform evolution. Known from Mongolian Eocene deposits; part of the early Cenozoic radiation of large wading birds across the Tethyan region.

Diet & Feeding

Carnivore

Eogrus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
