† Eonessa anaticula — an extinct Eocene duck relative from North America's Green River Formation. Small herbivorous waterfowl. One of the earliest records of Anatidae (ducks, geese, swans) from North America. Green River Formation provides extraordinary preservation in laminated lacustrine shales.
