Mengciusornis dentatus was an Early Cretaceous bird from China, known from the Jiufotang Formation. A basal ornithuromorph or enantiornithine, it was notable for having both teeth and a partial pygostyle, representing a transitional stage in the evolution of the modern avian body plan.
