† Nanuqsaurus hoglundi was a small tyrannosaurid from the Late Cretaceous Prince Creek Formation of northern Alaska. At ~6m, significantly smaller than T. rex, it inhabited the polar high latitudes where it endured months of darkness and cold, demonstrating tyrannosaurid adaptability.

Mancalla californiensis was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
