† Phalacrocorax serdicensis was an extinct cormorant (Phalacrocoracidae) from Bulgaria. A piscivorous diving seabird, it inhabited Cenozoic coastal and freshwater environments. Fossil cormorants contribute to understanding the evolution of Suliformes diving seabirds.
Diet & Feeding
Phalacrocorax serdicensis was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
