† Elornis grandis — an extinct Eocene bird from France, larger than its congener E. littoralis. Possibly a wading or shorebird lineage. Known from incomplete limb elements suggesting moderate body size. Classification within Neornithes remains unresolved.
Diet & Feeding
Elornis grandis was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
