Taoperdix is an extinct bird from Oligocene or Miocene deposits of France, classified within or near the pheasant family. Its fossils from the Quercy Phosphorites site represent early Neogene galliform diversity in western Europe.
Diet & Feeding
Taoperdix was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
