A fossil greater spotted eagle from Romania, Clanga clanga belongs to a genus of large booted eagles in the family Accipitridae. Carnivorous predators of small to medium vertebrates, fossil specimens from Pleistocene Romania document the historical distribution of this eagle across Europe at a time of cyclically shifting glacial habitats.
Diet & Feeding
Clanga clanga was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
