An extinct subspecies or island form of the lesser Antillean pewee (Contopus latirostris), Contopus latirostris blancoi is known from subfossil material in the Caribbean. A flycatcher-like passerine of the Tyrannidae, this form contributes to the documented historical diversity of insectivorous birds on Caribbean islands before human-mediated habitat changes.
