† Fulica infelix — an extinct Pleistocene coot from North America. Aquatic herbivore related to extant coots. Named 'unfortunate coot,' possibly in reference to its extinction. Fossil records from North American Pleistocene lake deposits. Became extinct during the late Pleistocene megafaunal extin.
