† Palaeoglaux was a genus of extinct owls (Strigiformes) from France. Carnivorous nocturnal predators of Eocene Europe, they represent among the earliest known owls and provide critical evidence for the timing of Strigiformes diversification in the Paleogene.

Palaeoglaux was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
