†Aquifavus is a poorly known extinct raptor-like bird of uncertain geographic origin, assigned tentatively to an eagle-like lineage. Known from very fragmentary material, its precise phylogenetic placement and stratigraphic context remain debated. The taxon represents one of many incompletely characterised fossil birds awaiting further discovery of more complete material for definitive classification.
Diet & Feeding
Aquifavus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
