†Microcarbo serventyorum, the Dalmatian Pygmy Cormorant, is an extinct cormorant from the Pleistocene of Australia. A small waterbird related to modern pygmy cormorants, it became extinct during the Quaternary. Known from subfossil bones recovered from Australian cave and lake deposits, it reflects the rich Pleistocene avifauna of the continent.

Carnivore

Microcarbo serventyorum was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
