Telmabates antiquus is an extinct flamingo-like bird from the Paleocene of Argentina, one of the earliest known flamingos or their close relatives. Its discovery indicates the flamingo lineage had already diversified in South America by the early Paleogene.
Diet & Feeding
Telmabates antiquus was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
