Meleagris leopoldi was an extinct Pliocene-Pleistocene turkey from Arizona and New Mexico. Named from Pleistocene deposits, it represents the ancient turkey fauna that inhabited North American woodlands, part of the diverse avian fauna that preceded the modern era.

Laurillardia smoleni was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
