† Maxakalisaurus topai was a 13m titanosaur from the Late Cretaceous Adamantina Formation of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Its discovery added to the remarkable diversity of South American titanosaurs, which dominated herbivore niches across the continent during the Late Cretaceous.
