Megagallinula harundinea was a large flightless rail from Quaternary Cuba, inhabiting wetlands and reed beds. Like many Caribbean rail species, it evolved flightlessness on islands free from mammalian predators and became extinct after human arrival.

Limnofregata was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
