Megalodytes immensus was a giant flightless duck from Late Pleistocene Cuba, among the most massive ducks known at ~7kg. Related to diving ducks, it lost flight in Cuba's predator-free environment and was presumably extirpated by early human hunters.
Diet & Feeding
Limnofregata hasegawai was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
