† Omeisaurus maoianus was a species of Omeisaurus from the Late Jurassic of China. These Sichuan sauropods were among the first large dinosaurs discovered in East Asia and demonstrate that sauropods achieved great diversity and size in China comparable to the Morrison Formation fauna.
