Oxyura jamaicensis is the Ruddy Duck, a small stiff-tailed diving duck of North and South America. Males have distinctive sky-blue bills during the breeding season and hold their stiff tail upright in display. An invasive population in Europe threatens the White-headed Duck through hybridization.
