Necrobyas minimus is a small Miocene owlet-nightjar from France. Along with other Necrobyas species, it documents the Neogene European radiation of caprimulgiform birds before the family declined to its current Australasian range.

Necrobyas minimus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
