Necropsittacus rodricanus is an extinct large parrot from Rodrigues Island, Mascarene Islands. Known from 18th-century descriptions and subfossil bones, this large endemic parrot went extinct due to human hunting and deforestation.
Diet & Feeding
Necropsittacus rodricanus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
