Neophrontops is an extinct Pliocene-Pleistocene Old World vulture (Accipitridae) from North America. These small accipitrid vultures were obligate carrion-feeders that scavenged in North American Neogene savanna environments.
Diet & Feeding
Neophrontops was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
