Nestor productus is the extinct Norfolk kaka, a large parrot from Norfolk Island. Documented from live specimens in the early 19th century and subfossil bones, it was driven extinct by 1851 through hunting and deforestation.
Diet & Feeding
Nestor productus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
