Oceanodroma melania is the black storm-petrel (Hydrobatidae), a living eastern Pacific species with Quaternary fossil records from California. The largest North American storm-petrel, it nests colonially on offshore Pacific islands.
Diet & Feeding
Oceanodroma melania was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
