Oraristrix brea is an extinct Pleistocene owl from the La Brea Tar Pits of California and Mexico. A medium-sized strigid, it inhabited Pleistocene North America and went extinct as part of the Late Quaternary megafaunal collapse.
Diet & Feeding
Oraristrix brea was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
