Otus frutuosoi is an extinct Pleistocene scops-owl from the Azores (Portugal). Known from cave deposits, this island endemic strigid was extirpated by human habitat modification following Portuguese colonization of the Azores.

Otus frutuosoi was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
