† Palaeospheniscus bergi was an extinct Miocene penguin (Sphenisciformes) from Argentina. A piscivore inhabiting South Atlantic waters, its fossils were recovered from Patagonian deposits. It represents one of several Palaeospheniscus species that diversified along South American shores.
Diet & Feeding
Palaeospheniscus bergi was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
