Scolopaci is a diverse avian clade encompassing sandpipers, snipes, and related shorebirds. Fossil remains from Belgium contribute to understanding the evolutionary history of this successful group of charadriiform wading birds.
Diet & Feeding
Scolopaci was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
