Songzia heidangkouensis is a second species of the extinct Eocene bird Songzia from China, differentiated from S. acutunguis by limb proportions. Together these species document avian diversity in Eocene Chinese Paleogene lake deposits.
Diet & Feeding
Songzia heidangkouensis was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
