Stictocarbo kumeyaay is an extinct cormorant from Pleistocene deposits of southern California, USA, named for the indigenous Kumeyaay people of the region. Its fossils reveal past cormorant diversity along the North American Pacific coast.
Diet & Feeding
Stictocarbo kumeyaay was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
