Strigogyps is an extinct bird from the Eocene of Germany, assigned to the family Ameghinornithidae or related groups. Its unusual foot morphology has prompted various interpretations of its ecology, ranging from ground-dwelling to predatory lifestyles.
Diet & Feeding
Strigogyps was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
