This large, ground-feeding thrush-like bird went extinct in the late 19th to early 20th century due to predation by introduced rats, cats, and stoats.
Diet & Feeding
Turnagra capensis was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
