Tydea septentrionalis is an extinct bird from Eocene deposits of Belgium, assigned to an uncertain systematic position within Neoaves. Its fossils from the Belgian Eocene contribute to understanding the early diversification of birds following the Paleogene recovery.
Diet & Feeding
Tydea septentrionalis was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
