Vastanavis is an extinct bird from Eocene deposits of Gujarat, India, assigned to an uncertain position within Neoaves. Eocene Indian birds are exceptionally rare; these fossils document early Paleogene avifaunal diversification on the Indian plate.
Diet & Feeding
Vastanavis was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
