Vitirallus watlingi is an extinct rail from Fiji, known from subfossil cave deposits. Like many island rails, it was flightless or nearly so and was driven to extinction by Polynesian settlers and the rats and pigs they introduced to the islands.

Vitirallus watlingi was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
