Xenerodiops mycter is an extinct long-billed wading bird from Oligocene or Miocene deposits of Egypt, related to herons or ibises. Fossil waders from North African Paleogene sites document the early evolution of these riverine and marsh-dwelling birds.
Diet & Feeding
Xenerodiops mycter was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
