<dinofyi-dinosaur slug="zygodactylidae"></dinofyi-dinosaur>Zygodactylidae is an extinct family of Eocene to Miocene perching birds with zygodactyl feet (two toes forward, two back), known from North American and European fossil sites. These small insectivores were common in early Cenozoic forests across the Northern Hemisphere.
Diet & Feeding
Zygodactylidae was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
