† Gargantuaviidae — an extinct family of enigmatic large Late Cretaceous birds from France. Massive in size for a Mesozoic bird; possibly the largest Cretaceous flying or flightless bird. Diet and ecology uncertain; the family likely went extinct at the K-Pg boundary along with all other non-avian.
