† Yamatosaurus izanagii is a Late Cretaceous hadrosaur from the Mifune Formation of Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, one of the most complete dinosaurs known from Japan. Its evolutionary position as a basal hadrosaur suggests hadrosaurs dispersed from Asia to other continents.
