Alamitornis minutus

Alamitornis minutus is an enantiornithine bird from the Early Cretaceous of Morocco. A small arboreal bird of the Kem Kem Formation (~95 Ma), it represents one of the few Cretaceous birds known from North Africa. Its discovery adds to understanding the global distribution of enantiornithines — the dominant bird group of the Mesozoic — across Gondwana.

Alamitornis minutus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.

Alamitornis minutus lived during the Cretaceous Late period of the Mesozoic Era, approximately 100,5 to 66,0 million years ago.
