Catenoleimus

Catenoleimus

† Catenoleimus is a theropod dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous Bissekty Formation of Uzbekistan. Known from fragmentary material, this carnivorous biped likely represents a medium-sized coelurosaur inhabiting the diverse Late Cretaceous ecosystems of Central Asia during the Turonian age. Uzbekistan's Bissekty Formation has produced numerous theropod specimens including tyrannosauroids, dromaeosaurids, and troodontids, and Catenoleimus adds to this remarkably diverse predatory dinosaur assemblage.
